How to Grant Access to Google Tag Manager Account


This tutorial guides you through the process of granting access to a Google Tag Manager account. Before starting, ensure you have administrative rights to the account and the email address of the user you want to invite.

Go to tagmanager.google.com


1. Open Your Web Browser

Hi, this video is about granting access to Google Tag Manager account. So go to your browser.

2. Navigate to Tag Manager Website

In the URL bar, type in tagmanager.google.com.

3. Choose the Appropriate Container

Container right. So since we manage a ton, that's why you're seeing all these.

4. Click Container Name

Click "www.wpsprints.com".

5. Open Selected Container

So click on the container name just like I did on this one. Once this is done.

6. Go to Administrator Section

Go to you will see this kind of a screen, then click on administrator or admin as it says, right? And then come to user management.

7. Select User Management

You will also see the user Management on the container side, but you need to come on this one, you need to click on user management.

8. Add New User

and then you need to add Supported WP Sprint. So, click on the big blue plus click on ADD users.

9. Type User Email

Then type in the email, I am typing in mine.

10. Open Account Permissions

11. Configure Container Permissions

They are set to this now after that you need to click on container permissions and click on set all.

12. Enable Publish Permission

When you will do that, you will see that by default only, the read permission is there. So you need to go and click on publish.

13. Complete User Setup

Once this is done, then you need to click on done and then you need to click on the button in white.

14. Send Invitation

Click "Invite".

You have successfully granted access to your Google Tag Manager account by inviting a new user with administrator and container permissions. To verify, check the user list for the newly invited user. For further management, consider reviewing user roles or exploring advanced permission settings.
